Not just biotech but the whole of the ethical / research based Pharmaceutical industry. Medtech is also getting caught up in the tariffs on the medical equipment/devices supply chain of components.
In part Pharma will be caught in a strangle hold by both tariffs and their commitment to the Inflation reduction act which prevents Pharmaceutical companies from passing on price increases above inflation. Price reductions will compound this together with any re-shoring arm twisting/incentives. Cost savings will have to be made in other areas as a result.
