Years ago (1993?) I attended a fantastic event in Poland, a Lada LeMans race!!! The race was not really between automobiles and drivers, but between the insanely inventive engineering students improvising with paltry replacement parts, duct tape, baling wire, various versatile cheap pumps, etc., some welding equipment, and just plain old junk to keep the cars moving at speed. Hysterical.
