I received an email a few days ago from Samsung that their system was breached by a third party and we are among those whose personal information was compromised. They claim it was not social security, credit or debit card numbers but rather things like name, contact, demographic info etc.

It doesn’t appear to be an imminent financial threat to us but I was intrigued that they claim to “have engaged a leading outside cybersecurity firm” to shore up their security posture. I expect/hope it’s one of the many “leading cybersecurity firms” we follow…
