Been several weeks since I reported on any of the brokers. Using Advanced Shipping & Trading this week. There was a significant fleet acquisition, but the broker only reported some of the vessels.
- 10 dry bulk vessels sold. Except for a 2019-build, generally, post modern or the edge of modern (15 years or less)
- 6 tankers sold, including 3 VLCCs. Yes, the VLCCs are scrubber fitted. But, ADNOC paid up for the vessels.
- On the newbuild ordering end, lots of vessel orders went in. The big ordering entities were Cosco (16 bulker vessels) and Torm Plc (8 MR2 tankers).
As commented earlier, the broker only has a partial listing of this ADNOC transaction
11 vessels consisting of 6 VLCCs and 5 VLGCs. If the 3 VLCCs mentioned in the first link are among the VLCCs, I would say ADNOC paid a premier for each of the three.
