Solar Industry in a down turn

It is amazing. I didn’t realize they were taking loans for solar panels and wrapping them up into asset-backed securities. So many issues in this article. I also didn’t realize that solar panels were 50 percent cheaper in Germany because of the way they were being sold. Also, they are putting a 10,000 dollar fee into the loan contracts just for getting the loan. The installers are going to drop and if you are holding any of the asset-backed securities in your portfolio you might want to look closely at them.

Complicated financial products helped the U.S. rooftop-solar-power industry grow, but now put it at risk of implosion.

The water carriers for the “supply side”, will assure us the “complicated financial products” are what has enabled the “supply side economic miracle”, and never mention what happens when their financial “innovations” blow up.
