Farley is probably beyond dyspepsia, into full apoplexy now. EU, UK, Japan and Korea all have access to the US market, at a lower tariff rate than his Mexican cars. The EU is not a big factor in Ford’s segment, but Japan and Korea are major factors in the mass market segment.

No. I expect him to extract a “fee” for every “deal” he approves. Seriously, add up all the bribes he has extracted. $350B from S Korea, $600B from the EU, $550B from Japan. Even he would have trouble stuffing $1.5T in his pocket, without someone noticing.
Besides, we know he will be back in a couple years, demanding more from Korea, just like all the other counterparties to “arty deals”.
You might be overthinking it. TFG has lots of ways to make money off of the presidency. Also, as a 78 year-old, he should be proud of shooting in the 90s, but instead he cheats to portray himself as a single handicap golfer. Sometimes the lying and conning are for no other reason than to pump up his ego. These “trade deals” most likely fall into that category.
