I have been w State Farm since 1962 but dropped them last year after they raised my home owners to new high. I received a low ball bid from a competitor and State Farm advised me to accept it. So I left. Not looking back. If you have a claim they can be difficult to deal with.
Who was it? I’m looking for the same reasons.
I went with Farmers but people say USAA is best if you qualify (military connection required).
I would be one of those people. It is still the best even if you don’t qualify.

I’m with USAA. Yeah, their rates are among the best, and no claims hassles.
Long ago I was with State Farm. I never really had any problems with them, but left when I found out about the Costco insurance (better rates). Then left them for USAA (even better rates). But you had to serve, or be the spouse or child of someone who served. Being a parent of a servicemember doesn’t count (which is why I couldn’t get 1poormom eligible).
Progressive quoted me 44% of State Farm’s premium three years ago. I jumped. Even now they are thirty percent less than State Farm was three years ago.
