Stuff ChatGPT says

This is the ChatGPT thread.
Here we note replies our mighty AI Overlord hath provided for us, on any and all topics. If interesting.

There are several disruptive trends and technologies that are likely to shape the future of cloud computing over the next 5 years. These include:

  1. Edge computing: Edge computing involves moving computing resources and processing closer to the point of data collection, rather than relying on a centralized cloud infrastructure. This can improve latency and reduce the amount of data that needs to be transmitted over the network.
  2. Hybrid cloud: Hybrid cloud refers to the use of both public and private cloud infrastructure, with data and workloads distributed across both environments. This allows organizations to take advantage of the scalability and flexibility of the public cloud while still retaining control over sensitive data and critical workloads.
  3. Serverless computing: Serverless computing refers to a model in which developers can write and deploy code without having to worry about managing the underlying infrastructure. This can make it easier and more cost-effective to build and deploy applications, and could lead to the development of new types of applications that are not feasible with traditional infrastructure.
  4. Internet of Things (IoT): The Internet of Things (IoT) involves the connectivity and integration of a wide range of devices and sensors, and could lead to the creation of new cloud-based services and applications that process and analyze the data generated by these devices.
  5. Artificial intelligence and machine learning: Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are increasingly being used in the cloud to power a wide range of applications, such as image and speech recognition, predictive analytics, and natural language processing. These technologies are likely to become even more important in the coming years, driving the development of new cloud-based services and applications.

Overall, these trends and technologies are likely to have a significant impact on the cloud computing landscape over the next 5 years, leading to the development of new types of cloud-based services and applications, and potentially transforming the way that organizations use the cloud.

I asked ChatGPT to turn The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe into a haiku:

Crap.
It is already smarter than us all.

Not to worry…either it is already excellent at deception and playing coy, or our AI Overlord has not yet been unleashed into the world at large:

how current is your knowledge?

My knowledge is current up until 2021, as this is the point at which my training data was collected. As an artificial intelligence, I do not have the ability to browse the internet or access new information, and my responses are based solely on the knowledge and information that I have been programmed to access. While I can provide general information and answer questions to the best of my ability based on this knowledge, I may not have information about more recent events or developments. It is always a good idea to fact-check information and consult multiple sources when seeking information about current events or up-to-date information.

Still, I’d shun away from asking it “What is Skynet?” for fearing it will answer “It’s already too late for you”
