Tariffs drive retail shift

A cousin sells cars for a dealer in KC. Last month she sold 26, a record. People are buying to do a deal before tariffs raise prices.

The same might be happening with other big purchases: large appliances, electronics (computers, cell phones, TVs), clothing (suits, sneakers, office wardrobe).

Some retail reported now are borrowed from later in the year. Dry spell expected. Maybe contributes to recession numbers.

She wonders what to do with the big commission check expected. Roth IRA recommended.
