Putin has been conspicuously silent of late. Things are going his way.

He won. By helping to get Trump elected, he made huge gains in his long and short range plans. He is no doubt beside himself with joy at what he and his buddy Trump are doing to the USA. He can remain silent and just watch happily as Trump destroys us.

I have been a lone voice, ranting in the wilderness, for years, that a country needs to feed itself, fuel itself, and finance itself, to not be controlled by others. These days, we can add “manufacture for itself”.

@steve203 I’ve been ranting about the same thing for 40 years. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no such thing as a “post-industrial” society as long as people continue to use manufactured goods.
