Hmm! It seems Teekay Tankers (TNK) also announced their Q2 2026 results at the tail end of July 2026. Some items
- Rev of $379.5M
- Adjusted EBITDA $205.8M
- Adj Net Income $193.6M
- Declared div of 25c/sh
- TCE daily: Suezmax $109.2K, Aframax/LR2 $74.1K
- Cash and cash equivalents $1.215B
Yes, a very healthy cash balance. But, given the company’s generally lower payout, does one want to be TNK shareholder at current market price. TNK acquired 3 10-yo Aframax vessels, and acquired two newbuild resales earlier in 2026. Yes, TNK have > $1.1B in cash and cash equivalents. But, over 75% of TNK’s owned fleet is more than 12-years-old.
IMHO, some of their more levered peers have more upside.
