Any recommendations for Apps to filter Spam and Political text messages on an iPhone app?
I live in Georgia and we forcast to get more than our fair share of stuff between now and the November election.

I’ve had very few such texts* (so far). What I just did was use your first sentence in a Google query, and the AI Overview looks like it has enough to get started.
*(I wish I could say the same for spam phone calls, but in the last week I’ve had 11 marked as Spam Likely, which I ignore, and 6 more spam that I answered. Also one real call.)
I asked the boss and she says she replies to the texts saying “STOP” and she gets a reply that says she has been unsubscribed. YMMV.
That works with the NYTimes and my Electric company. It does not with the Political Ads – in fact it makes things worse. By replying that way, the people know they have a phone number that is real – so automatically they both reuse the number and send it on the other folks as a known valid number.
Now this may just be an ole wife’s tale, but I tend to belief it.
I found the link below. It is filtering Spam Texts.
It was just want I wanted - hope it works.
Interesting, nut maybe not as much of a hot spot here, but I don’t see any political spam in Messages, just emails, which I’ve set up Rules in MS Outlook to automatically move them to the Delete Folder, and then phone call Spam, easily clicked away, Blocked, but the mail box, as in USPS is loaded daily with 40+ in our Governor race, some are pumping out tons of food for my Shredder!. Years go a Royal 16 micro cut came to live next to my desk, it has been real handy, if it breaks I’ll have tough tome replacing it, as Costco no longer carries them, or maybe they aren’t being made… Anyway, good you found that filter process, we might need it later in the year!
We live in a Purple state and have a first term Senator. Once a person has been elected for a second Senate term, it is functionally a lifetime appointment. In today’s climate either party will spend tens of millions to get or keep a Senate seat. I think your state is not particularly up for grabs in terms the dominate political party.
Way back in the day, one could list their number on a national “do not call” list. Of course politicians being politicians, charities and politicians were exempt from the block.
I’ve set my iPhone up to “screen” calls from unknown callers so I don’t get disrupted all the time while in the shop or doing something else. I then block and report as spam the number. Ditto with texts. It is about the best you can do right now.
