I’ve seen stickers to that effect as well. Interestingly I’ve lived that scenario, in tech.
I was a the Somerset Design Center during its hey day in the mid-90s into the early oughts. We were an Apple-IBM-Motorola joint venture doing PowerPC processors for Apple. We were termed the “country club” by other Motorolans due to our wages and better facilities. I remember some people in Phoenix complaining that we even had covered parking in Austin. They said we have searing heat and sand storms, what makes you special? And all of us kept thinking “well, why in the world do you not demand covered parking?”
