Several of us disagreed whether humanoid robots are anywhere near being ready to be a commercial product, but not whether they are actually being made.

No that is why they are going with a humanoid form. It is so they can work with humans.

Why do they need a humanoid form to work with humans? Humans work with robots that don’t have a humanoid form all the time. Many factories are filled with robots (and other machines). Tesla’s factories are filled with robots.

So Musk and Agility are making humanoid robots for basically appearance. I could see Agility doing that because they do not have a brand but Musk? There isn’t any reason for him to do it. He is in the news every day already. Also there are to many people trying to make humanoid robots. Let’s see what they say. Agility: Agility Robotics says that its manufacturing facility will be the first to mass-produce [humanoid robots] which could be nimbler and more versatile than their existing industria…
