The stock is not the company

What did Jeff Bezos do when Amazon dropped from $113/share to $6 twenty-five years ago?

You wonder if Amazon had the funds to buy up those undervalued shares? Did Bezos? His friends? Or did everyone panic as " the sky is falling." A tradition on Wall Street.

A great opportunity for the value investor like say Warren Buffett.

Each bubble bursting has been worse. 2008 was worse than 2000.

We have tech ready to crash, we have finance shadow banking rolled up in that, we have the housing market ready to crash, we have an oil shock to kick it all off, in the shock plastics for parts either for assembly line production or final product won’t be available. We have an inflation shock followed by unemployment. So with all of that we can be looking at a great depression. A depression is two years, a great depression is 10 years. The difference is just luck. The 1921 depression did not run as deep as this one might.

The 2000 and 2008 recessions did not submerge the ship entirely. You got to keep your seat on the boat. When the Titanic went down keeping your seat would do you in.
