Solar is the fastest-growing source of electricity in the U.S., making up almost half of all new power capacity in the first three quarters of 2023. Thanks to this rapid expansion, the U.S. now has about 161 gigawatts of solar installed — enough to generate just about 5 percent of the country’s electricity. More than half of that capacity has been installed since 2020.

Looks like all the anti-residential regulation and legislation and removal of subsidies have stopped its growth starting in mid to late 2023. Sad state of affairs. I suppose utility level is more efficient, but residential is more distributed. There are advantages and disadvantages of each approach.
Distributed is nice, but I think it needs the utility level to operate successfully.
