Title Insurance a fraud in itself?

Washington Post has an article on the high cost of title insurance and notes that claims paid only amount to 3% to 5% of premiums collected. A product with a skim rate of 95% to 97% is the very definition of fraud.

Obamacare is a fraud, and even they require for-profit insurers to spend a minimum of 80% of premiums collected on actual medical care.

Note: If you read the comments to the article, one guy says his wife works in Title Insurance and said they pay a commission of 75% of the premium collected to the real estate attorney that sells the policy to his client. Maybe a lot of the fraud is in your attorney’s office.{ { LOL }}

I had to laff at the “news” a couple nights ago. A lawyer has been charged with doing something scummy/perverted, I can’t remember what. Funny how so many people who are supposed to protect their client’s rights and see justice done, are also so renowned for being scumbags.

There was a scene in “Victor/Victoria”, where Julie Andrews says “get this shyster out of my way!”. Robert Preston said “madame, if you call me that again, I’ll sue. A shyster is a disreputable lawyer. I am a quack.” Biggest laff I got out of the entire film.
