Conservative economic theory is obsolete. It’s like studying pre-Galileo astronomy. Study “Systems Engineering” instead.

I came to that realization Sophmore year in college when I took Economics 101 and the second module was “Economic mathematical models” or something like. With the exception of very simple models that illustrated large scale obvious stuff (Pareto was superb) it was one absurdity after another. Weather, as tough as it is to predict, is simpler to model than economics for the simple reason that the components of weather; energy, and water and atmospheric molecules; are mindless and more or less predictable, while the components of economics; money and crazed humans; are fantastically complicated.
