Wealth Begetting Super-Wealth Worldwide

…and that is now a structural problem disrupting governance.

Ok. I think we recognize the wealthy through their lawyers and lobbyists can influence democracies for their own benefit.

But we should also recognize that some are strong supporters of philanthropy often with noble goals to fund major research, help the poor, etc. You can easily name Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, the Rockefellers and many more.

Yes!!

But only Gates and Buffet (and Warren is old) are not dead. The problem is worsening in an exponential manner as the wealthy increasingly compete for STATUS and for weird visions of Manhoodness (the VP who interned under Peter Thiel is a fan of Christian manhoodness, whatever that might mean),

Some of the Greek citystates (Athens particularly) controlled the worst behaviors with the threat of ostracism, applied to the wealthy and powerful who did not contribute to the running of the state for the betterment of all.

Dear David,

Most of the billionaires are not a problem. The beginning of the Trump admin Zuckerberg just did not want to be targeted. Time moves on.

Information for voters is a problem. The left needs the equivalent of an Heritage Foundation disseminating information so voters know something before a politico says it.

And that is why we are constantly told the “death tax” must be repealed, to accelerate the concentration of wealth.
