Tariffs typically apply to new jets, and planes are classified as used once they have flown for any reason other than testing and delivery. So if airlines can take possession of their jets elsewhere, they can skirt tariffs, even if the planes ultimately are flown in the US.
This is why I said, the big companies will find ways to avoid tariff, but small, medium business will be destroyed. Trump is the best friend of big business. He will wipe of any emerging competition for them.
