ZIM just announced a deal (Operational Cooperation) with MSC starting in 2025.

Well, this is a meaningful development for ZIM.
The 2M container shipping alliance is an existing alliance between the two largest liner companies (MSC and Maersk). ZIM currently has a collaboration agreement with the 2M alliance. But, the 2M alliance ends in 2025.
This new deal sounds like a continuation of the 2M agreement. Except, it is only with one M (MSC), but not the other M (Maersk). If one is unaware, Maersk will have a new partner in the near future. When 2M alliance ends in 2025, Maersk will partner with Hapag Lloyd.
