Meanwhile, there has been discussion of a new treatment that eliminates the plaques thought to be associated with Alzheimer’s. iirc, even though the treatment eliminates the plaque, the patients do not recover their faculties. So, does the plaque do irreversible damage, which would indicate prophylactic use, before the damage is done, or does it indicate the plaque is a symptom, but not a cause, of Alzheimer’s?
