A Richard Feynman lecture Feynman never did. Spotting artificial content

How to spot artificial content on uTube. This Feynman lecture is artificially made. It is very interesting but it’s not Feynman. The tone of the voice is perfect but the cadence, the rhythm, is not Feynman. Feynman does not read scripts, he talks to his audience. He laughs at his own jokes. He interacts with his audience. This video does nothing of the sort, it reads a script. Another giveaway, the image never changes, closed captions are superposed.

In other videos there are vocal giveaways. Some time ago English changed the pronunciation of the letter ‘I’ to ‘EYE,’ the Great Vowel Shift. Human speakers use one or the other but auto dubbed tend to shift between the two, most notable in videos about Pam Bondi. Auto dubbed also has difficulties with numbers and dates which are spoken in strange ways, sometimes spelling out the dots or commas.

For me, this is part of bringing on the end of the world.

Foul, stinky, robbery of the actual specific individual selves and their reputations, to pump revenues for….robots under the control of zillionaires and charlatans.

I HATE them.

My Dad had been one of Feynman’s first post bomb and war students, and Feynman had taken to him and years later came to adore the rich chocolate cakes I always brought to the Caltech Alumni picnic, and so I had regularly seen and chatted with him in my childhood. When I was about 12 I asked him about God, and he instantly smiled at me and said “Anything you can tell me about God I don’t believe. He watched my face as I took in that rapid subtle message and then smiled, waved, and wandered off eating his cake….

He was inimitable.
