Yeah there have been back to back ‘atmospheric rivers’ that hit western WA pretty hard. I live in a somewhat protected rain shadow due to the Olympic mountains, but we’ve still had a lot of rain. The rivers and creeks here are flooding, but not as badly as the Skagit river, so we haven’t had a lot of evacuations. We did get quite a bit of wind which took down trees and caused some power outages, but luckily, we weren’t affected by those either. So pretty much dodged this bullet so far. We will see what the rest of the winter brings - it’s supposed to be wetter and cooler than normal here.
