For what it’s worth, my wife and I are in New York and have gone to three films in the first three days of the NY Film Festival at Lincoln Center. To my surprise, in watching the credits I discovered that two of the three happened to be produced by Amazon Films (or whatever it’s called). They weren’t big films that were going to bring in hundreds of millions of dollars, but this is a high prestige juried film festival and two out of the first three films we saw coming from Amazon isn’t bad (Manchester by the Sea, and Paterson, if you are curious).
