Very good synopsis of the sad mismanagement of a beautiful country. Of salient interest to our current situation, the recurrent problem of Argentina is capture of political institutions by oligarchs to make them extractive for their benefit alone. Thus, no one can build anything lasting. Are we going to join Argentina?

Almost, not yet. The real problem is far more complex. Next election, the new admin would be able to “extract” everything from whoever got goodies from this administration. And, no international protection for those leaving the US. Remember? The law does not apply to the administration, so there is no running from the problems this will create when they are out of office.
