In my area we have a bank branch on every corner. Many bank companies. Many branches seem to be closing. Many people no longer carry cash. It’s getting to be all digital electronic.
Retail banking must be expensive to maintain. The profits are mostly in lending. Now days can mostly be done by zoom.
The industry continues to evolve. People like face to face banking but it seems to be going away.
