It doesn’t pay to be a bear when the bulls are running.
Wow, at that price my investment would almost allow me to buy starbucks!
$8 - I suppose I would have to report that. Would it be a capital gain?
JimA
Does anyone feel like gambling when they hear this S?
Starbucks is at $92.66, but you are well on your way. ![]()
Ummm Wendy those are called shallots.
Isn’t that the guy who told you NFT’s were a way to make money? Maybe you should have listened to me. ![]()
Well, I was referring to a cup of coffee.
JimA
I have the same opinion (sans photo of bulbs). I don’t think crypto will die unless governments ban it, mostly because it’s a great way for criminals to hide transactions without triggering alerts (unlike banks). As long as government allows it, it will be there.
I have never even considered using it, let alone investing in it.
I knew it had crossed the chasm when they allowed them to make ETF’s, but I never imagined the government would actually produce a bill just for Crypto.
I know Jim I was just pulling your leg, Even though i have owned the ETF’s for quite a while I have no problem with anyone not investing in it.
Andrew God forbid I listen to you. Ask him.
True dat. More and more companies, governments, and institutions are buying BTC to hold as reserve. It’s bonkers companies that manufacture products and provide services are “investing” in BTC.
For public companies, stock buybacks are so old fashioned. Todays savvy BoD dumps that cash into BTC!
I heard of one company that just dropped $2 billion on BTC! Given that they don’t make money and provide no useful service, I wonder what will happen to that company’s reserve BTC when they inevitably go bankrupt. I’m skeptical this house of cards will endure.
I’ll bite. Who is/was he?
DB2
What do you mean, no useful service? They have the full backing and trust of the President of the United States. There has to be something there.
Leap’s accountant right before he went to prison.
His name rhymes with $pank Flodget. He’s still lurking about someplace.
I take that back. I just remembered all of our important government announcements are now made on that platform. Huh, you’d think user numbers would reflect that…bonkers.
I can’t say that information helps much.
DB2
Sorry Bob. His name is Henry Blodget. His is a typical riches to riches story with some scandal thrown in to make things interesting.
