Underwater drones. Wall Street Journal had article on these yesterday. They claim some can be hydrogen fueled to fuel cells and have range of thousands of miles. Don’t hydrogen fuel cells require oxygen too?
I have heard that torpedoes use lithium aluminum hydride as a source of hydrogen. It reacts vigorously with water releasing hydrogen. So you have a compact source of hydrogen that requires neither pressure vessel or low temp. Costly but suited to limited uses.
