CBP March border report

A 95% decrease.

The month of March recorded the lowest southwest border crossings in history

In March, the Border Patrol data shows that around 7,180 southwest border crossings were recorded, a dramatic drop compared to the monthly average of 155,000 from the previous four years.

Can they “record” the ones they don’t catch? The drill used to be to walk up to the fence in broad daylight, surrender to the Border Patrol, and ask for asylum. Now, with the asylum system essentially shut down, maybe they are sneaking across the border?

Nope; there are always ‘get-aways’. Back in the pre-covid days the CBP estimated that the apprehension rate was 78%. Using that number the adjusted crossing number would be 9200.

Colonel Klink insisted there was never an escape from his camp too.

I suspect they are no longer coming because they see what is going on and see the United States as a declining power. Who would want to go somewhere that is on the precipice of a depression? When they were coming it was because the United States was seen as a beacon for jobs and wealth.

Well, that and they don’t want to end up in a prison in El Salvador.

I am surprised they didn’t use North Korea or Russia since they seem to idolize those two countries.

El Paso reports less in custody & less border patrol encounters and zero bus charters to the interior US.

None of the 100 or so men who are al norte from my small Mexican town have returned. None.

A family I know well has two sons working somewhere in Wisconsin, and they tell Mama that their pay is going up….employers of illegals trying to keep them there and working.
