My 1700 sf childhood home was worth $10k in 1962. Munger was well off to start with if he was making $1000 single stock purchases in 1962. Not to say he wasn’t also a good investor……

At the time he was in his late 30s, had studied math before WW2 and then after the war went to Harvard Law and graduated magna sum laude. In 1962 he was a successful real estate lawyer.

Not that it matters. My law school was not Harvard and my performance could best be described as,‘Magna Sine Laude’.
