However, satellite data over the last 40 years show no increase in ACE (accumulated cyclone energy).
I remember a few decades ago, a large volcano spouted tons and tons of ash out for nearly a year. They said that that alone reduced average temperatures on earth by nearly 2 degrees for a year or two.
