The vaccine card has room for only 4 doses - the two primary doses and two boosters.
If you had your second booster, it’s already full, and there’s no room for the third booster that you’re now eligible for or will be eligible for within 2 months.
The updated booster will be my second booster, because I wasn’t eligible before. So my vaccine card will be filled up very soon.
So what happens with the vaccine cards when people get that third booster? Is a second vaccine card being issued? This is already an issue for some of you now, and I suspect that this will be an issue for me eventually.

I’ve also been recording the shots on my WHO Yellow Fever card (along with all my other vaccinations)
I think the CDC record is largely ignored in the US today, but is a valued document when traveling to some other countries.

Where do you live? My first three are in my Healthvana card in my wallet on my iphone. And the last one is in my account at CVS, online. The pharmacy keeps records of every covid and flu shot — and all my other prescriptions.

I will find out when I go in for the Omicron jab in a few weeks.
Fortunately, Beaumont Hospital, where I went for the initial series in March 2021, gave me a spiffy plastic slip case for the card, so, if I am issued a second card, I’ll stuff it into the same case.

My card has room four front spaces on the front and two more vaccine spaces on the back.
So what happens with the vaccine cards when people get that third booster?
The first two shots went on a card that fit my wallet. They added the first booster to it. With the second booster they gave a card twice the size that does not fit in the wallet. I suppose I could fold it in half. That turned out to be such a bright idea that it was what I did.
They haven’t contacted me for a third booster but there is room on the second card for it.
No one seems interested in looking at my cards. They are going to get lonely! To keep them company they have a 20€ bill.

In late late June when I was in line to board a flight to europe from mexico there was an altercation at the boarding gate. A Mexican abuelita [little old granny] was beyond furious, shrieking that she had (translating roughly and dropping the untranslatable vulgarities) “spent weeks waiting hours in lines and talking to idiots to get these certificates and I am NOT GETTING on that plane until some asX&I$% looks at my ft&ss$)%I vaccine certificate!”
They looked at it alone of them all, she waved it in triumph, and we all got on the plane.
