Yesterday, CRWD announced a new product: “Managed XDR to Close the Cybersecurity Skills Gap, Expands Industry-Leading MDR Portfolio.” This product is said to extend CRWD’s MDR service and to “unif[y] human expertise with AI-powered automation and threat intelligence across security and IT categories to operationalize XDR for customers of any security maturity.” This XDR solution is made to augment “in-house” security teams. I am definitely not a tech expert, but this sounds like another product to take on SentinelOne. I’d guess all those execs switching from S to CRWD helped get this launched.
Hang in there.
No investment advice, just musings.
“CrowdStrike Introduces CrowdStream to Accelerate and Simplify XDR Adoption”
CRWD announced a partnership today w/ data observation company Cribl. The new product b/t the companies is called “crowdstream.” I’m not a techie but the gist I get is that this makes it easier to upload your data to CRWD so it can be analyzed for threats.
CRWD’s chief business officer explained: “For organizations to stay ahead of these threats, it is imperative they have real-time visibility and data at their fingertips. We see the CrowdStream technology as a game-changer that significantly improves our customer’s ability to get the right data, from any source, directly into the CrowdStrike Falcon platform to solve the hardest security and IT challenges in an elegant, cost-effective way.”
CRWD was an early investor in cribl through its VC Fund so this sounds like a win-win for CRWD.
