DHT disposes assets

A news item from a couple of weeks ago - sale of two VLCCs

While DHT had a net gain on this transaction, it seems like DHT left money on the table. My guess, the Trump administration’s “Chinese port call” fees, played a part in the decision. Those two vessels are/were the only two vessels built in Chinese shipyards in the DHT fleet. The company takes delivery of four VLCC newbuilds next year. In addition, the company still owns three much older VLCCs (2007-builds from South Korean shipyards)

Given the vessels were modern and had scrubbers installed, they would probably have done okay in the markket.
