DOGE Candidates

A recent Defense Department decision to approve full rate production of the troubled F-35 raises questions about whether Congress has the required access to the information they need to effectively oversee major defense acquisition programs and to challenge those that aren’t ready for production. A highly classified report issued by the Director, Operational Test and Evaluation to assess the initial operational capabilities of the F-35 was made available only briefly to the Senate and House Armed Services Committees. Despite many deficiencies revealed in the report, DOD approved full rate production about a month after its release.

https://www.pogo.org/analysis/we-built-a-surveillance-state-what-now
For decades, Republicans and Democrats have greenlit a massive surveillance apparatus. What happens when this powerful tool is in the hands of the wrong person?

In the 21st century, government data collection has exploded. Now, there are numerous technologies and offices used for surveillance, and nearly all of it is conducted without a warrant.

Surveillance technologies have evolved at a rapid clip over the last two decades — as has the government’s willingness to use them in ways that are genuinely incompatible with a free society. Today, at the federal, state, and local level, law enforcement agencies are increasingly deploying surveillance technologies with little public debate or oversight.

There is tremendous secrecy around how much our governments spend on data purchases, and how they actually use the data they collect.

When folks started shining too much light on TIA, headed by Iran-Contra alum John Poindexter, all the scrutiny did was push the project into the secret NSA budget, where it is covered up.

If you exclude security guards & maintenance personnel, the number of government workers who show up in person and do 40 hours of work a week is closer to 1%!

Yea that is a lie, Anyone with half a brain could figure that out.

The status quo will not go quietly. It will be crushed.

I’m all for wringing some excess out of the Federal Government. But when you cite sources that only 1% of Federal workers are actually working, you lose all credibility.

Are they all out playing golf ? Or was that TFG, who golfed more than any President in history, all on the taxpayer dime, with the added cost of large Secret Service contingents paying for room and board at places like MaraLago.
So make sure DOGE is looking into probably $10s of Millions of wasted taxpayer dollars siphoned off into TFG’s personal wallet, all under the disguise of official Presidential Duties.
Yeah, I’m all for eliminating waste like that !

99% are “working remotely”. Read the article. The buildings and parking lots are ALL empty.

5 days a week is going to be mandatory. Many will quit. Many will be forced out. Many roles will be relocated out of Washington to the areas they need to serve.

It will all be transparent and open. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

“It will all be transparent and open. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.”

I’ll applaud that, if it happens like that. I’ll want to see sacred cows from both sides of the aisle gutted. And I’ll want to see transparency on every dollar that is going to Musk, and anything he has an interest in, as well as every dollar pulled from any competitor of Musk. I’ll want to see transparency on ALL of the costs that are rung up via the extra large Secret Service details that have to follow TFG around on his many, many rounds of golf, and the price that is paid for housing these SS details in TFG’s properties ( by the way, do you consider Trump on the golf course as Remote Work ?? ). Be transparent about all of that.
Do that, and I’ll start believing.

Yea that is a lie also, anyone with a 1/4 of a brain could figure that out. There are 2.4 million Federal workers and you think 99% are working remotely? So how are planes flying? How is the mail being delivered? So all the congress and Senate, and their aides are all working from home. I think someone is really gullible.

I know we have drone operators; but most soldiers and sailors really can’t work from home! Of course, if you argue that ‘home is where you hang your hat’, then you might be right!

I bet all the FBI and CIA would love to be told they are working from home. But that is a good one JIM. In Nevada at Nellis Air Force Base they have a drone division that has to go on base every day to fly drones all over the world. OH and all the service people would love to be told they can work from home. Now they have 1.29 million active military and 767,238 thousand in reserves. They love being able to work from home. LOL

So no one reads the article but jumps to spew their own nonsensical views.

It’s a New York Post article…reposted by a proven spreader of misinformation. How much Kool Aid did you drink?

No where for the establishment corrupt to hide.

Status quo is going to be crushed and it is going to be painful.

It is starting.

I’m on the fence. If you can please include an X post from Elon, that’ll convince me.

It will be painful for everyone. I suppose we can agree on that.

I totally agree.

Especially for the poor and the middle class.

But worry not. Thankfully, Elon will still get his billions from the government.

But ya, it’s going to be very painful for lots of ordinary Americans.

You can’t fix stupid.
