Druckenmiller Long Cloud Stocks

One of the greatest hedgefund manager of all time realizes the value of cloud stocks in a strong economy and a recession…

Good article, part of it talks about him being cautious and urging the fed to pause on interest rate hikes, but here’s an interesting part on some cloud investments he’s in.

"At the same time, Druckenmiller is long “secular growth” stocks and he cited Microsoft Corp., Salesforce.com Inc., ServiceNow Inc. and Workday Inc. because they’re active in cloud computing. He said he expects them to outperform the market in both a growing and shrinking economy.

“Everything has to convert to the cloud,” he said. “If we get in a mild recession, demand goes up because it’s a way to cut costs.”

Can’t say it enough, Bert’s Ticker Target is worth double what he charges. I sent him an email similar to this post and here’s his reply.

“I do hope we will see a Fed that is paying attention to all the amber signs. Whether bad or good, unwinding QE has the effect of hurting asset values and having a negative auto-feedback.Tomorrow will be interesting in that regards.”

One of the problems Stan has-and I have met him-is he knows next to nothing about individual names. He told me once he doesn’t like that level of detail. He is a big picture, big concept person-that is where all the money has gotten made. I look at NOW-and it is probably fine and then I look at Jira Helpdesk which costs maybe 20% of the cost of a NOW solution and I wonder how that works out. I guarantee you, Mr. Druckenmiller couldn’t spell Atlassian."

Amazing response by Bert, but what also stands out is all the different ways investors can make money. Druckenmiller did it with macro, we all focus on individual stocks.

Also best to stick with the way that makes you most comfortable.

I trust Bert gave permission for his private email response to you to being publicly posted. Your post made to mention.

Here, let me help.

These are nice templates for posting to this board:

“Individual Growth Stock X is a good investment because of A, B and C”

“Individual Growth Stock X is or may not be a good investment because of D, E and F”

This takes actual work to add value, which is why I post so rarely.

Every investor with basic cognitive function knows the importance of the cloud.

No one here needs cheerleading or broad opinions from legendary investors. We are looking for individual growth stocks to invest in.

To those who say “you can just ignore OT posts” I say, when you’re enjoying good company and someone befouls the air, you can just ignore that too.

Please do not respond further here. Thx.
