Yahoo: “Apple’s Q3 2026 results exceeded expectations with $109.4 billion in revenue and $2.02 EPS, driven by strong iPhone sales. However, Services revenue fell short of forecasts, leading to a 4% drop in shares post-announcement.”

Actually at the moment over 6% drop..

Ugh. Oh well. Easy come, easy go… Still, the drop seems a bit silly: iPhones beat expectations! But service revenue didn’t!! Apple is doomed forever!

Maybe Apple needs to finally fully embrace the A.I. “Revolution” and start selling Apple iTokens to doll out an Apple Intelligence resource service. (Note: I say this without really knowing what I’m talking about.)

Well, over the years, it seems that no matter how good the news is, the shares plummet for a bit, but overall, still headed up… The roller coaster continues…

And yet, these stories on Apple Insider say Apple is doing just fine:

Also:

This is Tim Cook’s last earnings call. He went out on a high note and his tenure has been extremely good to my portfolio. Fare thee well, Mr. Cook!

I have high hopes for John Ternus to continue the level-headed stewardship at the helm of Apple.

And on the other hand, the market has some justification for being disappointed - stolen from a premium board poster:

The good:

  • :slightly_smiling_face: Apple reported $109.4 billion in revenue, up 16% YoY.
  • :slightly_smiling_face: iPhone revenue up 22% YoY.

The bad:

  • :sad_but_relieved_face: Greater China revenue at $18.8 billion, below analyst estimates of $19.5 billion.
  • :sad_but_relieved_face: Services segment revenue at $30.7 billion, below estimates of about $31.3 billion.

The ugly:

  • :sob: Forecast revenue to grow 9% to 11%, versus estimate of about 12.1%.

Well, definitely taking a hit today, a ~10% hit, maybe a buying opportunity for some, however… I can’t recall as hard a hit after earnings, but we just enjoy the ride, I guess… A paper OUCH!!

Well, it let up a little, but…

Im not here…it’s my AI self. Biggest loss ever I think…on paper. Ouch, is correct. :upside_down_face:
