Exchange-Traded Debt

Quantum Online has the best scanner for finding exchanged-traded debt, most of which are of low-tier creditworthiness or are spec-grade. But some of the companies have reasonable financials, and if nearby maturities are selected and if egregiously low pricing is avoided, then the projected reward/risks ratio might be reasonable.

Note: The prices --and therefore CYs and YTMs-- are only somewhat current. Due your due-diligence and size your positions properly.

Exchange-traded debt always felt like a middle ground to me — kind of bond-like income but with stock-style liquidity. The part that matters most is understanding call risk and how price can drift from par if rates move. Yields can look attractive, but credit quality and maturity dates still matter a lot. Not exactly “set it and forget it.”
