Why don’t they press for what they really want: repeal of the laws against slavery. The article does mention the suits challenging the Constitutionality of the NLRB. I have suggested before that the entire body of USian labor law is on shaky Constitutional ground and everything could be overturned by a particularly Shiny court.

Wages are a “burden” on the “JCs”. People should be so tickled they are allowed to work they should work for free. That was the attitude I heard from the honchos at some of the places I worked.

Oh the irony. When you have $750 million to donate to Caltech, but yet you actively fight against paying a living wage and providing decent working conditions. Philanthropy should always start with taking care of your employees.
