Since we both live around here, I am shocked that you would offer such patently false information. FEMA was all over the place in both North Carolina and in Tennessee. There was ample disinformation going around that people “shouldn’t trust them” (it was during Biden’s term, after all, and we all know what a self-centered SOB he was, right?) and many didn’t given the trusted news sources they foxlow, but
For the record:
**Nearly 7,000 personnel from across the federal workforce are deployed, including FEMA staff**. To date, FEMA has shipped over 15.6 million meals, more than 13.9 million liters of water, 157 generators and more than 505,000 tarps to the region.Jan 22, 2025[

There was a lot of misinformation pushed by bad actors during a political season, virtually all of it from the Right:
*.Spread of false information: False narratives were spread, including claims that FEMA’s funding was being diverted to other causes like assisting migrants or foreign wars.
- Conspiracy theories: Some individuals propagated unfounded theories, such as allegations that FEMA agents were seizing land or that the government had manipulated the hurricane for political reasons.
Indeed, some FEMA agents were greeted with guns instead of thanks. They did as good a job as might be expected in the face of a geographically huge disaster and conspiracy skepticism from the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene and others, who claimed that the government was “engineering the weather” and that FEMA agents were there to “take your house”.
Don’t be that guy.
