The question is how long will it take for them to send the kits. The confirmation email doesn’t include an estimated date.
From what they were saying on the news, if you order the next couple of days, tests should arrive around end of the month.
What’s the point NOW? The horse is out of the barn. 4 free at-home Covid tests for everyone isn’t going to solve much.

If I suspect I have Covid-19 and the test comes back positive, I can start planning the reveal?
It also gives me a heads up on implementing the actions I need to take to get myself well?
I live alone, so “isolate” is a foregone conclusion?
Get some fluids, and soups ready to go.
And some movies.
Maybe I’d take steps to prevent spreading the plague to my friends and relations?
A test is just a piece of data that helps me be proactive.

Biden’s new rules on reimbursement for at-home COVID-19 tests don’t currently apply to Medicaid and Medicare, although Bloomberg Government reports test kit producers are lobbying to change that.

Agreed pretty much and people don’t get symptoms and would not randomly take a test before visiting others.
I could see using the tests before you go visit someone who is high risk to be sure, other than that I agree what’s the point at this time.
