Golar LNG announce a new long-term FLNG deal in Argentina. The activity starts in 2027, and will utilize FLNG Hilli.
Does this mean Nigeria gets the FLNG Mk II build? Or do GLNG have plans to convert a different vessel to service the Nigerian project?
Upon re-reading the Press release, I noted this statement–
“Golar has flexibility to consider a swap alternative for another suitable Golar FLNG unit.”
That seems to suggest that perhaps Golar might be ready to proceed with a decision on Mark II build. The new agreement also ups the pressure on Perenco as to whether they want to keep the Hilli in Cameroon.
