I happened to be looking at Disneyland resorts this evening, just based on recent reports that the company may be looking at a 30-year investment plan of expansion in California. I don’t think there as many there as there are in Florida, so I wanted to imagine what a future footprint might look like.
While doing this, I came across something called Good Neighbor Hotels. These apparently are DIS-approved hotels that the company promotes. I am curious: does DIS receive a percentage of the revenue of these nearby non-DIS hotels for curating such a list? Does it receive annual fees, perhaps, from hotels on the list? I am assuming there must be some sort of remuneration relationship between these properties and the company, but I really don’t know. Are there also Good Neighbor properties in Florida as well, or around the globe at other parks?
