Ditching the Lira for the US dollar
Quite a few years ago I believe that this is what happened in Argentina. Didn’t the government freeze dollar accounts and when unfrozen they could only get local currency not their US dollars? They’d be better keeping their dollars outside the banking system, which they probably will do.
