{{ The federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has proposed a rule that would prohibit lenders from repossessing medical devices such as wheelchairs and prosthetic limbs if people can’t repay their loans.}}
Interesting that prosthetic limbs are subject to repossession, but hip and knee implant replacements are not. {{LOL }}
Wouldn’t you need to actually perform surgery to repossess hip/knee implants? Versus just detach a prosthetic limb? Are they able to repossess wheelchairs?
That “hands free crutch” looks like an accident waiting to happen. Maybe not for younger people but as people age many wouldn’t have the coordination/ balance to manage it.
{ In the near future, the company “The Union” provides expensive prosthesis to improve the lives of the clients. However, the company sends repo men to retrieve the artificial organs for those that do not pay the installments. }
