Heat Wave Knocks Out 6 Texas Pwr Plants

It’s May. What’s this going to look like in August?

Also, this is the kind of thing that happens when the focus is on Executive Compensation rather than grid reliability. Where are the regulators?

Oh, this is Texas.

Easy/fast solution. Turn off the AC for ALL the politicians and bureaucrats. Tell them they have to “do without” due to their incompetence. The AC will NOT be “on again” until the problems are fixed.

Post office motto:

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

Texas motto:

Snow or rain or heat or gloom of night (and probably a few other things) stops our power grid from the adequate delivery of power.

Maybe Abbott can ask the Bitcoin miners to shut down their machines for awhile like he suggested for winter overloads.

Good thing Texas is another country.

I’d hate to see us bail them out with a new power grid.

Oh, this is Texas.

A similar thing happens in CA periodically when they have grid reliability or power supply issues. CA utilities also use “brownouts” far more often than TX utilities do.
