Homicide is quite different than suicide, and the two shouldn’t be mashed together.

For example, I’m sure there are racist homicides. At the same time, almost 90% of black homicides are by other blacks and 79% of white homicides are by other whites. These numbers would lower the correlation with racism.
If people don’t play games with “fig leaf math” the truth is never sufficiently self-serving to make their point.
Here in Michigan, people like to parade around with their assault rifles, because they can. Many of them hope the sight of heavily armed people parading down the street will freak someone out, so they call the police, so the gun nut can tell the police to pound sand, because parading around with an assault rifle is legal.
A few years ago, some people in Dearborn, MI, saw men getting into a car wearing face masks, tactical vests, and guns, and called the police with the description of the car. Dearborn PD spotted the car and pulled it over. The gun nutters inside were offended at being stopped, so went into the Dearborn PD headquarters to complain…still wearing their masks, vests, and carrying their guns.

Not surprisingly, the prosecutor threw the book at them. This video has a clip from their trial where the prosecutor talked about having gone through their Facebook posts and text messages, and seen that they were intentionally trying to provoke the police.
