… but I’m pretty sure that good weather attracts homelessness. If I had to be homeless, I’d definitely move to San Diego.

And yet proposals to include affordable housing in new developments is vigorously opposed in many communities. Fear of crime is often cited.
Some suspect crime is a code word for racism many places.

Marijuana legalization attracted homelessness in CO. Since we lead the way. Lots of mentally ill people self-medicating with marijuana, and other reasons I’m sure.

Colorado was one of the first to legalize marijuana. Now its legal in many states. Missouri added medical marijuana abt five years ago and legalized last year. Yes, we have homeless but no indication marijuana was a factor. Cold winters do not make being homeless easy.
