Russian exports to Europe declined from 48% of total Russian exports to 14%
Russian exports to China increased from 14.6% of total Russian exports to 32.7%
Russian had little amount of export to India but it grew to 16.8% of total Russian exports.
The available trade data relies on official statistics only, meaning oil shipped by Russia’s so-called shadow fleet is not included in the tallies. If it were possible to include those mostly aging ships that sail without the industry’s standard Western insurance, it would likely show that China and India import even more from Russia. According to the Kyiv School of Economics, at least 70% of Russia’s total seaborne crude oil exports are via the shadow fleet, with India, China and Turkey accounting for up to 95% of the purchases.
Now turn the page.
Europe made up 45% of total imports. But that has now declined to 22%
China made up 25.7% of total Russian imports. But that has increased to 53%
USA once made up 3.7% os total import. Now negligible.
Turkey imports now make up 5.2% of total Russian total imports.
While Russia’s trade has been transformed, the experts say it is not necessarily better off.
But Russia surviving.
